Seller’s Closing Checklist

The following is a seller’s closing checklist to follow.

DEED

 It is the Seller’s responsibility to provide you with a deed. Please indicate to your

agent how you wish to hold title.

EXPENSES

A couple of days prior to closing, contact your lender’s attorney (closing

attorney) regarding your closing expenses. A certified check is required for any due expenses.

INSURANCE

Notify your insurance company of your pending purchase. Important: Bring to

closing an insurance binder/policy and a paid receipt as required by your lender.

 Indicate your preference to fill the oil tank or to read tank contents.

You will reimburse the Seller at the closing for contents of tank.

INCOME PROPERTY (only)

At the closing, you will be given leases, security deposits,

prepaid rental income & other applicable documentation.

BE SURE TO BRING TO CLOSING: Original insurance policy, receipt for paid insurance

policy, certified check for remaining down payment, personal checks for minor expenses,

driver’s licenses with photographs.
